Biography
Lénaïc Godard holds a Master 2 in Competition and Contract Law from the University of Paris-Saclay as well as a Master 2 in Law and Economics from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas. He also holds a PhD in Competition Law. His thesis “antitrust and restrictive competition practices law” won the 2021 “Competition law Thesis Award” organized by Bruylant Publishing, together with the law firms Gide and Van Bale & Bellis. His thesis is published by Bruylant Publishing in its “Competition Law Collection”.
Lénaïc joined Magenta in September 2021 after completing several internships in Antitrust & Competition Departments in international law firms (White & Case LLP, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and Latham & Watkins) and in the legal department of Bouygues Telecom.
Lénaïc works in European and French Competition Law (antitrust, merger control, law on restrictive competition practices), distribution and consumer law, both in counselling and in litigation. He also deals with issues related to energy law.
Finally, Lénaïc is an active member of AFEC, and an research associate at the DANTE Laboratory at Paris-Saclay University. He teaches Competition Law courses at the Master 2 “Competition and Contract Law” (Paris-Saclay University) and publishes regularly in the Lamy Competition Law Review.
