Gaël Hichri holds a Doctorate in Business Law obtained on the basis of a thesis on “The Distribution of Pharmaceuticals” (2007).

After gaining experience in several law firms in France and overseas, in September 2009, Gaël started his career in the “Competition, Distribution and Pharmaceuticals Law” Department of the Toison, Villey and Broud law firm. In 2011, he joined the “Antitrust – Competition Law” Department of Orrick, Rambaud and Martel where he subsequently became senior partner.

He developed specific expertise in the distribution of mass consumer, health (medicines, cosmetics and medical devices), luxury and gas products.

As a result of his involvement in competition and distribution law, Gaël Hichri has wide experience in advising and defending businesses in relation to anti-competitive and restrictive practices. Thus he is involved with his clients on a daily basis, working with them on the organisation of their distribution networks and on their business and pricing policies in relation to customers, suppliers and competitors. Gaël Hichri has represented his clients in proceedings before the competition authorities, in particular in cases involving vertical anticompetitive and restrictive agreements (eg prohibition of online reselling, retail price-fixing etc) and abuse of a dominant position.

Gaël Hichri has an extensive practice in relation to disputes between suppliers and distributors, as well as proceedings brought before the commercial courts by companies (competitors or clients) and the French Minister for Economic Affairs on the basis of Article L.442-1 of the French Commercial Code (sudden termination of established business relationships, significant imbalance, etc).

Gaël Hichri has published numerous articles on competition and distribution law, in particular in relation to the pharmaceuticals sector. Lastly, he gives courses on competition law for the Masters II degree in “Corporate Business and Tax Law” (University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne).

Fanny Mahler holds Master’s degrees in Economic Public Law and European Business Law from Paris II Panthéon-Assas University. She joined Magenta in 2017 after having spent seven years in the Public Law/PPP practice at Linklaters.

Fanny is a public law specialist. She has significant experience in public procurement (public procurement contracts, concession agreements), environmental law (classified facilities for the protection of the environment, water law, quarries, etc.), town planning law, public properties law, local authorities law and public accountability law.

She regularly advises on matters related to State aid, public sector companies (governance, transactions related to their shareholding), foreign investment controls, mergers, acquisitions and IPOs in regulated sectors. Fanny has also advised on public law issues arising out of transactions in Francophone Africa (e.g. public procurement, concessions, public private partnerships, etc.).

Fanny advises her clients, both domestic and international, on the legal frameworks applicable to their business. She has in-depth knowledge of and experience in many sectors, including energy (including renewables), infrastructure, telecommunication, broadcasting, mining, transportation, water, waste treatment, chemicals, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

Fanny is involved in both transactional and litigation matters before domestic and European courts – including regulatory authorities and arbitration tribunals – where she acts on behalf of private operators, financial institutions and public sector entities (administrative authorities, public bodies, state-owned companies, etc.).

Fanny is a co-founder of the French Association on State Aid Reporting (Association du Suivi des Aides d’Etat, ASAE). 

Morgane Silhol is a graduate of Queen Mary University (L.L.M. – Intellectual Property) and of the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (Master II – European Union Economic Law).

Having started her career at Magenta in 2014, Morgane Silhol has developed an expertise in competition and distribution law and in contract law.

In litigation, Morgane Silhol assists the firm's clients in proceedings before the French Competition Authority: visit and seizure operations and contestation of these operations, supporting companies in their application or defense during the instructional procedures (responses to information requests, preparation of management hearings, replies to statements of objections and reports, transactional discussions, etc.)

More broadly, she regularly represents the firm's clients in litigation proceedings before the civil and commercial courts (compensation actions, contractual and commercial litigation namely.)

Morgane Silhol also advises national and international companies in all sectors on a daily basis to meet their operational needs or to assist them in their commercial negotiations (organization of their distribution network, contract development and negotiation, review and negotiation of single agreements, invoicing rules, payment deadlines, etc.)

She has also worked on several occasions with companies wishing to familiarize their employees with the rules of competition law (training, organization of situational exercises for their employees in the event of an inspection by a competition authority).

Pablo Boirin holds an L.L.M. in International and Comparative Public Law from the University of Exeter and a Master's degree in European Union Economic Law from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Prior to joining Magenta in September 2022, Pablo practiced for several years in the Linklaters' Antitrust & Foreign Investment Group.

Pablo's pratice focusses on French and European competition law. He regularly advises and litigates on all aspects of competition law (antitrust, merger control, private enforcement, restrictive practices). He also deals with cases involving Distribution and Consumer protection law.

Manon Michaud holds a Master’s degree in European Law and Litigation from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas and is graduated from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne in Public Administration and Management.

She joined Magenta in July 2019. Prior joining the firm, Manon completed several internships in the legal affairs and internal audit departments of administrations (French General Secretariat for European Affairs, Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the French public agency for international technical assistance and Conseil départemental des Hauts-de-Seine).

Manon practice focuses on all aspects of French public law, in advice and litigation (including before regulatory authorities). She deals with issues related to public contracts (concessions and public procurement), public sector companies, state aids, environment and urban planning as well as local authorities.

Manon regularly advises operators in the regulated sectors, in particular in the energy and transport sectors (air, rail and road).

Pierre Fréaud holds a Master’s degree in Regulated Markets Law from Paris 9 Dauphine University. He joined Magenta in September 2019. Prior joining the firm, Pierre completed several internships with the Antitrust departments of Orrick Rambaud Martel, BDGS and Kramer Levin, and with the French Competition Authority and the European Commission.  He also trained at the Valeo Group Legal Service in Shanghai.

Pierre practice focuses on all aspects of French and European competition law (antitrust and merger control), including both transactional and litigation cases. He also deals with cases involving Distribution and Consumer protection law.

Margaux Stosskopf holds a Master’s degree in Business Law and Management from Paris II Panthéon-Assas University and a LL.M. in European and International Business Law from Trinity College Dublin. She joined Magenta in August 2021, after completing a six-months internship there. Prior joining the firm, Margaux completed internships with the Antitrust department of BDGS and with the legal department of Unilever France.  She also worked as a trainee lawyer in the legal department of General Mills – Yoplait.

Margaux’s practice focuses on all aspects of French and European competition law (antitrust and merger control), including both transactional and litigation cases. She also deals with cases involving Distribution and Consumer protection law.

Julien Giambrone holds a Master’s degree in Regulatory and Competition Law from the University of Paris 9 Dauphine and a Master’s degree in European Business Law from the University of Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas.

He joined Magenta in August 2021 after having completed several internships in the public law departments of McDermott, Will & Emery, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and in the legal departments of EDF and Enedis. He also worked as an intern in the Projects department of DLA Piper in Casablanca.

Julien is a public law specialist. He is involved in transactional and litigation matters (including before regulatory authorities) and he advises his clients on all types of public economic law related issues.

Lénaïc Godard graduated with a Master Degree in Contract and Competition Law (Paris Saclay University) and with a Master Degree in Economy and Law (Pantheon Assas University). Lénaïc also has a PhD in law after defending a thesis entitled “Competition Law and Restrictive competition practices Law”, which was awarded the 2021 competition law thesis prize by Bruylant publisher.

Lénaïc joined Magenta in September 2021 after having completed several internships in Antitrust and Competition departments of White & Case, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Latham & Watkins Antitrust & Competition and in the legal department of Bouygues Telecom.

Lénaïc’s practice focuses on European and French Competition Law (antitrust, merger control, restrictive competition practices), both as counsel and in litigation. He also deals with distribution and consumer law issues.

Lénaïc is President of the Youth Bureau of the AFEC and a researcher at the DANTE Law Laboratory of the Paris-Saclay University. He teaches Competition Law at the Master II “Competition and Contract Law” (Paris-Saclay University) and regularly publishes in the review Lamy de la concurrence.

Clémentine Vannier holds a Master’s degree in Competition, Consumer and Industrial Property Law from the University of Rennes I.

She joined Magenta in September 2022, after completed a six-month internship there in 2019. Prior joining the firm, Clémentine completed internships in the Legal Department of the Beaumanoir Group and in the Competition and Distribution Department of Baker McKenzie. She also worked as a trainee and then as an assistant-case handler in the French Competition Authority.
